Overview

Kontentino is a global SaaS for social media management used by thousands of teams. We partner long-term to strengthen AI capabilities so users create on-brand copy faster, understand performance, and publish at the right time. Kontentino has been recognized in SaaS rankings and startup competitions (e.g., Latka Top 100, Web Summit Top 20, StartupAwards finalist).

Key features we built: brand-voice AI Text Generation via Brand Hub profiles with platform/tone targeting; AI-Generated Inspirations for calendar planning; refinement tools (Refine, Fix Grammar, Rewrite, Expand); Hashtag & Emoji suggestions; Brand Hub to capture brand voice and generate multi-language content in bulk (84+ languages); AI analytics insights and smart best-time-to-post recommendations.

The challenge

Content teams needed faster ideation and production without sacrificing brand consistency, plus data-driven recommendations (analytics and timing) to improve outcomes without extra tools.

What went wrong along the way

First versions of AI features were poor. Getting AI to "almost good" is easy. Getting to "good enough" requires domain expertise, iterations with real users, and working with different models. Some Kontentino modules are legacy — we had to create a new bridge module for communication between the legacy system and new AI features. We also started too complicated with the GPT App, wanting 4 features at once instead of 1 perfect one. Focus beats feature creep.
